Family Pictures

In preparation for Bryan's deployment we decided to have family pictures taken with Bryan in his uniform.  We didn't have any good pictures of Bryan in any of his uniforms that weren't sit-in-front-of-a-screen, tilt-your-head-this-way kind of pictures.  So it was time, and the beautiful Virginia spring weather and his upcoming trip were good excuses to have them taken.

Our friend Emily Kalabaugh did a fantastic job as our photographer!  She found a great location and had tons of ideas.  Here are some of our favorites:

Counting to 300

Yesterday on the car ride home Calvin said "I counted to 300 today, mommy!  Not by 10's either.  I counted by ones!"  I replied with something to the effect of "You did???  Wow.  When did you do that?"  Calvin answered "At school, during quiet time".  Poor kid.  His class has 2 hours of nap time, and kiddos that don't nap (like Calvin) have to lie there and rest.  I think he gets pretty bored during those two hours on the cot.
